1 Registration and conclusion of contract:

1.1 Registration for dance courses at Bachata Basel takes place online.

1.2 With the registration a binding contract is concluded between the participant and the Bachata Basel dance school.

1.3 Course places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. 

 

2. payments:

2.1 The course fees are to be paid in cash on the first day of the course if the course fee has not yet been paid online.

2.2 Payments by Twint can be made directly on site.

2.3 In the event of late or non-payment, Bachata Basel reserves the right to exclude the course participant from participation.

 

3 Withdrawal and cancellation:

3.1 Cancellation of participation in the course must be communicated in writing.

3.2 In the event of cancellation up to 14 days before the start of the course, the course fee will be refunded less a processing fee.

3.3 In the event of cancellation less than 14 days before the start of the course, there is no entitlement to a refund of the course fee unless a replacement participant is provided.

4 Missed lessons

We understand that sometimes there are unavoidable circumstances that may cause you to miss an appointment or be unable to attend a scheduled lesson. Here is the information to help you in such situations:

4.1 Advance notification of absence: if you know in advance that you will not be able to attend an appointment - whether due to a planned holiday or work commitments - please contact us before booking a course. In such cases, we will be happy to give you a voucher for the missed lessons, which you can use for a next course. We appreciate your communication before the course booking in order to make the necessary arrangements. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible once the course has been booked.

4.2 Missed lessons during the course season: Unfortunately, there is no entitlement to missed lessons within an ongoing course season. However, we recommend that you attend the scheduled dates as consistently as possible in order to maximise the benefits of your course.

4.3 Missed lessons due to illness or injury: If you are unable to attend a lesson for health reasons, for example due to illness or injury, we are happy to accept a medical certificate as proof. In this case, we will issue you with a voucher that will cover the missed lessons for the next course session.

 

5 Course schedule and changes:

5.1 Bachata Basel reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses if the minimum number of participants is not reached or for other important reasons.

5.2 Bachata Basel may make changes to the course schedule, such as course times or instructors, as long as the overall character of the course is not significantly affected.

 

6 Liability and insurance:

6.1 Participation in the dance course is at your own risk.

6.2 Bachata Basel assumes no liability for accidents, injuries or losses during the course or on the premises of the dance school.

6.3 It is recommended that you take out adequate accident and liability insurance.

 

7. Severability Clause:

7 Data protection:

7.1 Bachata Basel treats the personal data of the participants confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

7.2 The data will be used exclusively for internal purposes and will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract.

 

8. severability clause:

8.1 Should individual provisions of these GTC be invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

 

9. place of jurisdiction:

9.1 Swiss law shall apply to all legal relationships with Bachata Basel. The place of jurisdiction for any disputes is Basel-Stadt.
