Terms and Conditions

1. Registration and conclusion of contract:

1.1. Registration for dance courses at Bachata Basel is done online.

1.2. With the registration, a binding contract is concluded between the participant and the dance school Bachata Basel.

1.3. Course places are allocated according to the "First come, first served" principle. 

1.4 After the end of the course season, you are automatically registered for the follow-up course. You can cancel the follow-up course free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the course. After this time, the full course fee will be charged.

 

2. Payments:

2.1. The course fees are to be paid in cash or by Twint on the first day of the course.

2.2. Payments via Twint can be made directly on site.

2.3. In the event of late or non-payment, Bachata Basel reserves the right to exclude the course participant from participation.

 

3. Withdrawal and Cancellation:

3.1. Cancellation of participation in the course must be communicated in writing.

3.2. If you cancel up to 14 days before the start of the course, the course fee will be refunded minus a processing fee.

3.3. If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the course, there is no entitlement to a refund of the course fee, unless a replacement participant is provided.

 

4. Course schedule and changes:

4.1. Bachata Basel reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses if the minimum number of participants is not reached or for other important reasons.

4.2. Bachata Basel can make changes to the course schedule, such as course times or course instructors, provided this does not significantly affect the overall character of the course.

 

5. Liability and Insurance:

5.1. Participation in the dance course is at your own risk.

5.2. Bachata Basel assumes no liability for accidents, injuries or losses during the course or on the premises of the dance school.

5.3. It is recommended that you take out adequate accident and liability insurance.

 

6. Data protection:

6.1. Bachata Basel treats the personal data of the participants confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

6.2. The data will only be used for internal purposes and will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfill the contract.

 

7. Severability Clause:

7.1. Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be ineffective or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

 

8. Jurisdiction:

8.1. Swiss law is applicable to all legal relationships with Bachata Basel. The place of jurisdiction for any disputes is Basel-Stadt.

9.  Deregistration for health reasons

If participation in lessons in an ongoing course is no longer possible for health reasons, this must be sent immediately by e-mail together with the medical certificate within the same course periodbachata.basel@gmail.comto share. The day of notification is the deregistration date. The course fees are due in any case. The missed lessons will be credited in the form of a voucher, provided that the course fees have been paid. A refund in cash is excluded.
