About the class
Salsa is a lively partner dance with its roots in the Caribbean, characterised by a clear rhythm, turns, and simple yet effective moves. You'll learn your first basic steps, how to hear and apply the fundamental rhythm of salsa music, and the first principles of leading and following.
No prior experience needed – you're welcome to come alone or with a partner. During the course we rotate regularly, so you'll get to dance with a variety of partners, and you're more than welcome without one. If you'd like to continue after this course, the next step is Basic 2.
