Never danced before? That's exactly what our Basic 1 courses are for: eight lessons that take you from your very first step to your first figure – in a group where everyone is new. No one is watching, everyone is practising.
All courses take place in our own studio: Tramstrasse 66 in Münchenstein – take Tram 10 to «Walzwerk», just a few minutes from Basel. You don't need a dance partner or any prior experience – comfortable clothing and shoes with a smooth sole are all you need.

QUESTIONS
Am I too old or too uncoordinated?
No. In our Basic 1 courses, people aged 18 to over 60 dance together, with or without a sense of rhythm. The first course is structured so that everyone can follow along – and after four lessons you'll be dancing your first little piece.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that you can move in, and shoes with a smooth sole (trainers are fine to start with). Water is available at the bar.
Do I have to dance with strangers?
In class, partners rotate – this helps you learn faster and means nobody feels like "the new one". If you come as a couple, you're also welcome to sign up as a pair for the first time.
